For graduating pharmacy students, the transition from theoretical classroom concepts to large-scale industrial execution marks a pivotal milestone in professional development. Recognizing this, the Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), organized an intensive industrial visit to The Ibn Sina Pharmaceutical Industry PLC, located at Shafipur, Kaliakoir, Gazipur, Bangladesh. Designed specifically for final-year, final-semester students, the visit provided an invaluable window into modern pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality assurance, and plant administration.

Upon arrival at the expansive Gazipur plant, the delegation was warmly received by distinguished personnel and guided across the full plant infrastructure. This included advanced, automated, and sterile manufacturing lines for production, high-speed blister packing and cartoning units for logistics, and sophisticated quality control analytical laboratories enforcing strict cGMP compliance. Witnessing these computer-automated systems and safety protocols in action allowed students to see how classroom theory translates to real-world industrial environments. The management later hosted the faculty and student delegation for a formal corporate lunch.

The day concluded with a formal closing session that served as an interactive forum for reflections, where students actively posed technical queries and shared their personal experiences and takeaways from the tour. The final-year cohort expressed deep gratitude to The Ibn Sina Pharmaceutical Industry PLC for extending this exceptional educational opportunity, gracious hospitality, and an unforgettable professional experience.

UAP Pharmacy Students Win Best Poster Awards at ICPS-2026

Students from the Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific (UAP) have earned distinction at the International Conference on Pharmaceutical Sciences (ICPS-2026), organized by North South University in collaboration with the University of Malaya and held on October 11, 2026. At the conference, two research posters from UAP were awarded Best Poster in their respective sessions—standing out among six sessions in total.

Azoawt Ali Sikder Sabab received the award in the Pharmacology session for his poster, “Investigation of Burn Healing Activity of Ajwa Dates Palm (Phoenix dactylifera) on an Animal Model.” Mahfuza Anjum received the award in the Public Health session for her poster, “Knowledge, Attitudes, Practices and Awareness of Urinary Tract Infections among Pharmacy Professionals and Students in Bangladesh: A Cross-Sectional Study.” Both studies were conducted under the supervision and academic mentorship of Dr. Shihab Uddin Ahmad, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific.

Presenting before an expert academic and scientific audience on an international platform, the students demonstrated strong research aptitude, scientific rigor, and effective communication. Their work addresses both experimental pharmacology and public health—two areas of growing importance in contemporary healthcare.

MoU Signing Ceremony with “The ACME Laboratories Ltd.”

The School of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The ACME Laboratories Ltd. on October 12, 2026. The agreement marks a significant milestone in strengthening collaboration between pharmaceutical education and industry, reflecting a shared commitment to bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world pharmaceutical practice.

The signing ceremony was attended by distinguished representatives from both institutions. Representing The ACME Laboratories Ltd. were Mr. Jihan Ahmed, Manager, HR & Administration Division, and Mr. Jaber Hossain Ayon, Executive, HR & Administration Division. Representing UAP were Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Acting Vice Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Dean, School of Pharmacy; and Prof. Dr. Zabun Nahar, Head, Department of Pharmacy. The Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), organized a seminar titled “Empowering Women Through Reproductive Healthcare” on October 7, 2026. The seminar aimed to raise awareness about women’s reproductive health and the importance of timely and accessible healthcare.

The guest speaker, Dr. Sheikh Shaila Parveen, MBBS, FCPS (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), DGO, shared valuable insights into reproductive health, preventive care, and the importance of seeking professional medical guidance. Her engaging discussion helped students better understand women’s healthcare needs at different stages of life.

The University of Asia Pacific (UAP) celebrated World Pharmacists Day 2026 with a special celebration and felicitation program organized by the Department of Pharmacy on September 26, 2026, at the UAP City Campus under the theme “Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures”. The event marked a significant milestone in recognizing the contributions of distinguished professionals to the pharmacy profession in Bangladesh.

In a landmark initiative, UAP organized a special felicitation program to honor distinguished pharmacists from regulatory bodies and academic institutions, marking a pioneering effort by a university to recognize and celebrate the contributions of pharmacy professionals through such a dedicated platform. The initiative reflected UAP’s commitment to acknowledging professional excellence, leadership, and service to pharmacy education, regulation, and healthcare.

The event highlighted the vital role of pharmacists in healthcare and public health and brought together distinguished pharmacists, policymakers, academics, and professionals from across Bangladesh.

On September 10, 2026, the Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific, organized a seminar featuring two contemporary and emerging topics in pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences: “Nanoscale Solutions for Modulating Drug Safety & Efficacy” and “From Printer to Patient: The Rise of 3D & 4D Printing in Pharmacy and Precision Medicine” at University of Asia Pacific. The seminar aimed to provide students with valuable insights into innovative technologies and their growing applications in drug delivery, pharmaceutical sciences, and precision medicine.

The department was honored to welcome Dr. Mohiuddin Quadir, Associate Professor, Department of Materials Science & Engineering, University of Central Florida, and Dr. Md. Pharmacy Photography Club Organizes Photowalk to Panam City and Bangladesh Folk Art and Craft Museum at Sonargaon

The Pharmacy Photography Club, Photophilic of the Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific (UAP) successfully organized Photowalk 2026 to Panam City and the Bangladesh Folk Art and Craft Museum, Sonargaon, on Saturday, 29 August 2026.

The day-long photowalk was organized primarily by the final-semester students of the Department of Pharmacy as an initiative of the Pharmacy Photography Club. A total of 29 students from different semesters participated in the event. The students explored the historic and cultural landmarks of Sonargaon, capturing photographs of its architectural heritage, surroundings, cultural elements, and everyday beauty. The event provided them with an opportunity to develop their photographic skills while experiencing Bangladesh's rich cultural heritage beyond the classroom.

The event was coordinated by Kanij Nahar Deepa, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy, UAP, as the Convener, and Toki Tajwar Islam, Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy, as the Co-Convener.

The photowalk was also graced by the presence of A. H. M. Nazmul Hasan, Assistant Professor, and Mr. Rakhibul Hasan, Lecturer, from the Department of Pharmacy. Champions of JICIRSIGC 2026: UAP Pharmacy Students Achieve Outstanding Research Success

Students from the Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific (UAP) have achieved a remarkable milestone at the Joint International Conference on Interdisciplinary Research and Sustainable Innovations for Global Challenges (JICIRSIGC) 2026, organized by the Jahangirnagar University Research Society (JURS) and held on 29 August 2026.

The UAP research team comprising Md. Rifaet Hossain, Master’s student; Sumaiya Akter Shalin and S. M. Maruf Ahammed, students of 4th Year, 1st Semester, under the dedicated supervision and academic mentorship of Professor Dr. Irin Dewan, Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific, secured the prestigious Best Research Paper Award and emerged as the Champion in the Poster Presentation Segment of the International conference.

The team competed in Track 3: Public Health, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Life Sciences, presenting their research before an expert academic and scientific audience. Dua Mahfil and Eid-E-Milad-Un-Nabi (PBUH) Program: Hamd-Naat & Qirat Competition at the Department of Pharmacy

On August 27, 2026, the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Asia Pacific organized a Dua Mahfil featuring a “Hamd-Naat & Qirat Competition” on the occasion of Eid-E-Milad-Un-Nabi (PBUH). The program began with praise to Allah (SWT), followed by a discussion on the Seerah, focusing on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The event was successfully organized through the dedicated efforts of Ms. Ramisa Anjum, Assistant Professor, and Ms. Fariha Akter, Lecturer, under the continuous guidance of Md. Asadduzzaman, Assistant Professor.

The program included meaningful speeches from the departmental leadership and faculty members. Dr. Zabun Nahar, Head of the Department of Pharmacy, highlighted the importance of learning from the character of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). She encouraged students to practice honesty, kindness, compassion, and excellence in both their personal and academic lives. Pharmacy Debating and Public Speaking Club Tarkik Arranged “Barowari Debate Competition, Spring-2026”

The Department of Pharmacy organized the “Barowari Debate Competition 2026” on 25th August 2026, creating an energetic and intellectually stimulating platform for students to showcase their debating skills, critical thinking, and confidence. The event was attended by a large and enthusiastic audience, making it a truly houseful and exciting occasion.

The competition featured eight talented debaters, who engaged in a thought-provoking and interesting debate topic. Their arguments, counterarguments, and passionate delivery kept the audience engaged throughout the competition. The vibrant interaction between the debaters and the audience added to the excitement and made the event particularly memorable.

UAP Organizes Hands-On Training: Laboratory Animal Care and Management

The Research Ethics Committee (REC), University of Asia Pacific (UAP), successfully organized a day-long training program titled "Hands-On Training: Laboratory Animal Care and Management" on Saturday, 29 August 2026, at the Department of Pharmacy, UAP. The training was organized with the aim of enhancing participants’ knowledge and practical skills in the ethical care, handling, and management of laboratory animals and promoting responsible research practices.

The program covered research integrity and ethics, animal welfare and the 3Rs Principle, biosecurity, daily husbandry, and practical animal-handling techniques. The training sessions were conducted by Mr. Md. Asaduzzaman, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy, UAP, and Dr. Sumon Kumar Paul, Head, Animal Resources Branch, Infectious Diseases Division, icddr,b, Mohakhali, Dhaka. Participants actively engaged in the theoretical and practical sessions, particularly the hands-on animal-handling activities.

The closing ceremony was attended by three distinguished guests: Professor Dr. Zabun Nahar, Head, Department of Pharmacy, UAP; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Dean, School of Pharmacy and Member Secretary, REC; and Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Acting Vice Chancellor, UAP and Chairman, REC.

In her speech, Professor Dr. Zabun Nahar highlighted the importance of the training in developing the practical skills of thesis students. She appreciated the initiative of the Research Ethics Committee and thanked the REC Office for organizing such an important and timely training program. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahriar emphasized that animal-handling skills are essential for researchers regardless of their specific field of research. Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan discussed the history and development of the Research Ethics Committee at UAP. He explained that the formation of the REC was a lengthy process that took almost three years, reflecting the University's commitment to establishing a strong and effective ethical review system. He also highlighted the quality and rigor of REC-UAP's research protocol review process in comparison with ethics bodies at other universities. UAP School of Pharmacy Welcomes Professor Dr. Md. Selim Reza as Adjunct Professor

The School of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), organized a warm welcoming session to formally welcome Professor Dr. Md. Selim Reza as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Pharmacy. Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Vice Chancellor, UAP, was present to extend his warm welcome and best wishes. The session was hosted by Professor Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Dean, School of Pharmacy, who introduced Professor Dr. Selim Reza and highlighted his academic background, professional experience, and expertise, emphasizing his potential contribution to the academic development of the department.

Following the welcome session, Professor Dr. Selim Reza delivered a presentation titled “Exploring Correlation of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Bangladeshi Nutraceuticals,” based on his recent academic and professional visit to China. He shared valuable insights into Chinese pharmaceutical education, research infrastructure, pharmaceutical manufacturing, clinical research, hospital pharmacy services, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). He also highlighted opportunities for Bangladesh–China collaboration through joint research, faculty and student exchange, postgraduate education, training, and knowledge sharing. The potential of Bangladesh’s medicinal plants and biodiversity for developing evidence-based nutraceuticals through scientific validation was also emphasized.

UAP Pharmacy Hosts Seminar on “Immunotherapy: A Prospective Therapeutic Potential Against Hematological Malignancies”

The Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific, organized a seminar titled “Immunotherapy: A Prospective Therapeutic Potential Against Hematological Malignancies” on August 10, 2026, at Room 414, University of Asia Pacific. The seminar aimed to provide students with valuable insights into the emerging field of immunotherapy and its therapeutic applications in hematological malignancies.

The department was honored to welcome Dr. Mohammad Sohorab Hossain, Director of the Emory Integrated Biorepository Core (EIBC), Emory University School of Medicine, as the distinguished guest speaker. Dr. Hossain delivered an insightful and engaging session on the principles of immunotherapy, its application in combating hematological malignancies, and the promising prospects of immune-based therapeutic strategies in cancer treatment.

Distinguished attendees included Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Acting Vice Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Zebun Nahar, Head, Department of Pharmacy; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Dean, School of Pharmacy; Ramisa Anjum, Assistant Professor; and Fahmida Tasnim Richi, Lecturer, who also hosted the event. INTERNATIONAL BENCHMARKING VISIT TO INDONESIA

1. Introduction
In line with the vision of internationalization and strengthening global academic engagement, a delegation from the University of Asia Pacific (UAP), Bangladesh, undertook an international benchmarking and academic collaboration visit to Indonesia from 13 to 19 June 2026. The visit aimed to establish long-term institutional partnerships, strengthen research excellence, promote international academic cooperation, and formalize collaborative relationships through the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and Memoranda of Agreement (MoAs).

During this visit, the delegation visited four leading Indonesian universities:
1. Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS)
2. Universitas Setia Budi (USB)
3. Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS)
4. Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII)

The benchmarking visit focused on promoting joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchange, postgraduate collaboration, research publications, innovation development, and other academic activities that support the internationalization agenda of UAP.

The delegation arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 13 June 2026. Before proceeding to Surakarta, the team spent a day in Jakarta exploring the historical and cultural landmarks of the Indonesian capital. The delegation visited National Monument (MONAS), Istiqlal Mosque and Jakarta Cathedral which reflects Indonesia's spirit of religious harmony and peaceful coexistence. These visits provided valuable insights into Indonesia's rich cultural heritage and social diversity.

4.2 Transfer to Surakarta and Reception by UMS
Date: 14 June 2026 at afternoon
On 14 June 2026, the delegation traveled to Surakarta via a domestic flight. Upon arrival, representatives from the International Office of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) warmly received the delegation and provided transportation to the hotel, demonstrating UMS's hospitality and commitment to international partnerships.

4.3 Visit to Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS)
Date: Morning Session – 15 June 2026
The academic activities commenced with an official visit to the Rectorate of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The UAP delegation was received by Dr. Hepy Adityarini, Head of Sub-directorate for Mobility and Academic Partnership, Directorate of Reputation, Partnerships and International Affairs (DRPI), UMS. The UAP team was led by Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan and Prof. Dr. Ir. Supriyono, Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, Institutional Reputation, Impact, Partnership and Internationalization, lead to UMS Team. During the meeting, both parties exchanged institutional profiles and discussed potential areas of collaboration including:

• Joint research projects
• Collaborative research grants
• International publications
• Student and faculty exchange
• Mobility programs and internationalization initiatives

Following the fruitful discussions, both universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing a framework for academic cooperation over the next five years. The delegation observed the teaching facilities, laboratories, libraries, and student support systems. The visit concluded with a luncheon hosted by UMS.

4.4 Meeting with Faculty of Pharmacy, UMS
Date: Afternoon Session – 15 June 2026
At 2:00 PM, the delegation held a meeting with the Faculty of Pharmacy, UMS. The meeting was led by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Dean, School of Pharmacy, UAP for UAP Team and Prof. Dr. apt. Peni Indrayudha, Vice Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, UMS. Both institutions presented their academic portfolios through PowerPoint presentations and explored collaborative opportunities. Areas discussed included:

As 16 June 2026 was a public holiday in Indonesia in observance of the Islamic New Year, the delegation utilized the day to experience local attractions Telaga Madirda, Sewu Waterfall and Jembatan Kaca (Glass Bridge).

4.6 Visit to Universitas Setia Budi (USB)
Date: Morning Session – 17 June 2026
The delegation was transported by the International Office of Universitas Setia Budi and was warmly received by the Faculty of Pharmacy. The meeting was led by Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, UAP and Prof. Dr. Dra. Peni Pujiastuti, Vice Rector, USB. Both parties discussed extensive opportunities for collaboration, including:

• Postgraduate student attachment

Dr. Shihab Uddin Ahmad, Assistant Professor, School of Pharmacy, UAP delivered a guest lecture entitled: “Writing a Systematic Review: Step-by-Step Guideline”. Approximately 50 participants, mostly pharmacy students, attended the session. The lecture generated significant interest and active interaction among participants.

4.7 Visit to Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS)
Date: Afternoon Session – 17 June 2026
At 2:00 PM, the delegation visited Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) and its Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMNS). The meeting was led by Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, UAP and Prof. Dr. Desi Suci Handayani, Dean, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNS. The portfolio meeting focused on identifying collaborative areas such as:

4.8 Visit to Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII)
Date: 18 June 2026 – 9:00 AM
The final institutional visit was conducted at Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII). The meeting commenced with the Department of Pharmacy and was led by Prof. Dr. apt. Yandi Syukri, Head, Department of Pharmacy, UII. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Dean, School of Pharmacy, UAP emphasized the importance of sustainable academic and research collaboration. The draft MoU and MoA had been shared with UII before the meeting. Discussions focused on:

• Scope of collaboration
• Roles and responsibilities of both institutions
• Sustainable implementation mechanisms

UII suggested initiating several collaborative activities before formalizing the agreements. Both parties agreed to begin with:
• Online seminars and webinars
• Participation as external viva board members
• Collaborative manuscript preparation and shared authorship
• Research and academic networking

The meeting concluded with agreement that UII would send the finalized draft agreements after incorporating mutual recommendations. The delegation also visited the laboratories and research facilities of the Pharmacy department, UII.

The delegation departed Indonesia on the morning of 19 June 2026 and returned to Dhaka, Bangladesh, successfully completing the international benchmarking mission.

UAP Pharmacy Students Visit Beacon Pharmaceuticals PLC to Experience Industrial Pharmacy in Practice

The Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), organized an industrial visit to Beacon Pharmaceuticals PLC, Bhaluka, Mymensingh, on May 20, 2026. A total of 44 students participated, accompanied by five faculty members.

Beacon Pharmaceuticals PLC is a leading oncology-focused pharmaceutical company in Bangladesh. Students observed key areas including the Solid Manufacturing Unit, Quality Control Department, and Warehouse.

The industrial visit created a valuable bridge between classroom learning and real pharmaceutical practice.

Pharma Cultural Evening 2026: Celebrating Creativity, Culture, and Unity

The Pharmacy Cultural Club (PCC), Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific, successfully organized "Pharma Cultural Evening 2026" on 19 May 2026, bringing together students, faculty members, and staff for an evening filled with entertainment, creativity, and celebration.

The event featured energetic dance performances, soulful musical presentations, a Pharma News segment, and a drama performance that captivated the audience.

The fest featured Poster Symposium, MedMind Olympiad, Brand Name Competition, Scientific Writing Contest, and Educational Video Illustration, along with a cultural program and raffle draw.

Students visited the Biotechnology Unit, Solid Manufacturing Unit, Quality Control Department, and the warehouse facility, gaining valuable insights into advanced biopharmaceutical production processes.

This hands-on industrial exposure helped students connect theoretical concepts with practical pharmaceutical operations.

Social Awareness Club Hosts "Blood Donation Campaign Fall 2025" to Promote Life-Saving Voluntary Donation

The Social Awareness Club (SAC) of the Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), successfully organized the "Blood Donation Campaign Fall 2025" on May 04, 2026, at the UAP Plaza, in collaboration with Quantum Foundation.

The program was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Honorable Acting Vice Chancellor of UAP. More than 100 participants were willing to donate blood, and after screening, a total of 76 donors were found eligible.

The event was organized under the guidance of Mahjabeen Gazi, Assistant Professor and Convener of SAC; Ms. Adeeba Jaheen Faruqui, Lecturer and Co-Convener; and Samiha Rahman Arthi, Lecturer and Member of SAC.

Parliamentary Debate Workshop and Competition

On April 29th and 30th, the Department of Pharmacy hosted a vibrant two-day event organized by the Pharmacy Debating and Public Speaking Club - Tarkik. The program combined an intensive parliamentary debate workshop with a high-stakes competition.

The event was headlined by Mr. Sallal Hossain, a renowned figure in the debating circuit. The first day was dedicated to a comprehensive workshop covering parliamentary debate techniques.

The second day saw students putting their new skills to the test in a spirited parliamentary debate competition. The event concluded with a formal closing ceremony graced by Dr. Zabun Nahar, Head of the Department of Pharmacy.

On April 22, 2026, the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Asia Pacific hosted an insightful seminar titled "Clinical Pharmacy Practices in Canada: Opportunities and Challenges for Bangladesh".

We were honored to have Mr. Faisol Ferdous, Owner of Millet Pharmacy, Millet, AB, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, as the keynote speaker. With his extensive experience in clinical pharmacy practices in Canada, Mr. Ferdous delivered an engaging session highlighting the evolving role of pharmacists in patient-centered care.

Drawing from his extensive professional journey, Mr. Nazir delivered a compelling narrative that provided deep insights into global pharmaceutical marketing.

The event was further honored by the presence of distinguished industry leaders, including Dr. Imran Ahmed, Executive Director and Head of R&D at American Regent Inc., USA, and Mr. Ananta Saha, Head of the International Business Division at Renata Ltd.

On 15 April 2026, the Entrepreneurship and Career Development Club (ECDC), Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), organized a remarkable event titled "A 360\u00b0 Pharma Podcast: The Complete Pharma Perspective" at the UAP Auditorium. Marking a first for the department, this live podcast introduced an engaging and interactive format.

The session featured three esteemed industry professionals: Bilkis Akhter (Deputy General Manager, Product Development & Validation, Unido Pharmaceuticals Ltd.), Md. Solaiman Kabir (Director, Training, UniMed UniHealth Pharmaceuticals Ltd.), and Mohammad Reazur Rahman (Manager, Marketing Strategy Department, Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd.).

The program was organized under the expert guidance of Dr. Fatema-Tuz-Zohora, Assistant Professor, and Lamia Alam, Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy and Convenor of ECDC.

UAP Pharmacy Department Holds Industry Consultation on M. Pharm Marketing Syllabus

The Department of Pharmacy at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) organized an industry consultation meeting on 25 February 2026 to review and update the proposed curriculum for the M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Marketing program.

The session was chaired by Professor Zabun Nahar, Head of the Department of Pharmacy. Professor Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, UAP, was also present.

Mr. A. H. M. Nazmul Hasan, Assistant Professor, presented the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework of the proposed program.

Department of Pharmacy Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Computational Biology Lab

The Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), successfully organized a short inaugural program for the Computational Biology Lab on January 01, 2026 at Room No. 306. The program marked a significant step toward strengthening the department's academic and research capabilities in the field of computational and interdisciplinary biological sciences.

Overall, the inaugural program was conducted successfully in a cordial and academically enriching environment. The establishment of the Computational Biology Lab is expected to make a meaningful contribution to teaching, research, and capacity building within the Department of Pharmacy.
